Arquiza Night Market
With the aim of bringing life to Arquiza Street’s night scene, the idea of having a night market came to be. The site is closed off on allotted nights to makeway for the night market. Parking hours is regulated. Kiosks in theform of retrofitted jeepneys by local entrepreneurs will be set up along thestreet, catering to the local residents and/or tourists. Although lighting isalready provided, additional lighting will help enhance the ambiance.
WFH Apartment
Since the pandemic struck, we have been forced to live a "new normal," and although society is trying to go back to the way it was before, some have embraced this new normal and decided to incorporate it into their daily lives. With this post-pandemic new normal came remote working/learning, limited social gatherings/interactions, the realization of the need for more open/green spaces, "boxed in" feeling from staying at one place for too long, and work-life "imbalance".
Neon Shoe Store
Capital is an existing shoe store operating in the Philippines. The design concept presented is a rebranding of the store. The design theme features the use of neon lights with the aim to upgrade the current aesthetic and entice more visitors.
Pandacan Cultural Center
Pandacan Cultural Center is a redevelopment of Pandacan Linear Park. It is envisioned to be redeveloped into a marketplace or palengke that also houses an urban farm on the upper floor. It is envisioned to be a self-sustaining building with the presence of the urban farm. Additionally the marketplace is a convertible space that could also function as an evacuation center. It is a safe-space for calamity victims.
Sanctuary on a Cliff
“Sanctuary on the Cliff” is located in San Francisco, Camotes Island, Cebu and is a church dedicated for the people who live near the famous Santiago Bay beach but is also open for tourists. Camotes Island is famous for their beaches, mountains, and their preserved nature. The site is a cliff with palm trees surrounding it and is next to shallow water which visitors may enjoy due to the outstanding view. The church has a minimalist and sustainable design and it will incorporate dried palm leaves in the design which is a material that is located on the site.
Luid Park
Luid Park is located in the heart of Tarlac City, Tarlac. The park, which is next to a high school and some offices, aims to be a location where individuals can get in touch with both their surroundings and others around them. After work or class, people may hang out here or utilize it as a regular meeting place.
